Sphynx cats: Characteristics and How to care for them.

Sphynx cats are dog-like breeds of cats  that do not have fur (coat). Because they lack fur (coat), their body loses heat easily and faster than that of cats that has coat (fur).

They exhibit high level of affection for their owners. And almost all the cat markings can be found on their skins.
This type of cats are very intelligent, energetic, friendly and curious in nature.

Sphynx cats originated from Ontario, Canada.

How To Care For A Sphynx Cat
Due to the lack of fur or coat, regular bathing of a sphynx cat is very important because of the way their body oils builds up on their skins. Bathing them at least twice or thrice a week would be enough.

Because their body losses heat faster, they should not be leaved outdoor unchecked.

They do not have fur or coat so they should not be exposed to too much sunlight since it can cause sunburn.

Regular cleaning of the sphynx cat ears is necessary because they do not have enough hair in their ears to prevent the build up of dirt and ear wax. Their ears must be cleaned at least once or twice a week.

Their nails should be cleaned at least twice a week due to how quick oil and debris can accumulate under those nails of theirs.
