Top 5 universities in Africa

Has it ever crossed your mind to study in Africa? Well, I am an African, specifically, Ghanaian and I really would say you should study in Africa because there are a lot of things you can explore while studying in this wonderful continent. 

Africa is full of different types of intriguing cultures, amazing landscapes, wonderful and welcoming people and so much more!
The QS World University Ranking® 2019 included about seventeen (17) African universities in their ranking. Nine (9) of those 17 African universities are South African Universities.

The following are currently the top five universities in Africa;

1. University of Cape Town
University of Cape Town is the oldest University in South Africa and is ranked number one in South Africa and Africa at large.
It was placed number 200 in the QS World University Rankings® 2018.
Their campus has one of the most beautiful views.

2. University of the Witwatersrand
Second on our list is University of the Witwatersrand is number which is also located in South Africa. It was number 381 in the world university Ranking.

3. Stellenbosch University
Stellenbosch University is number three on our list. It was founded in the year 1918. It is a South African university which situated in a town called Stellenbosch. This university was placed number 405 in the recent world ranking. 

4. The American University in Cairo
The university occupying the fourth spot on the list is the American University in Cairo. 
It was established in the year 1919. It was placed number 420 in the world ranking.
The university's main campus is located in new Cairo and its old campus is in Tahrir Square

5. Cairo University
Fifth on our list of best universities in Africa is the Cairo University. The university was established in the year 1908. It is located in Giza, Egypt.
